Jerry West

Jerry West was known as Mr. Clutch during his playing days because of his ability to always make the big play when it counted most. West was a well respected player in the NBA because of his incredible work ethic and desire to never accept failure. His teammates would have nothing but great things to say about the Hall of Famer. West would win 1 NBA title as a player and would be elected to 14 All-Star games. After retiring he would coach and eventually become the General Manager of the Lakers. During his tenure as Lakers GM they would win 6 NBA championships. Now, for all of you sports fans, have you ever wondered what player is the NBA Logo? Well, it is no other than Jerry West.

Wilt Chamberlain

One of the greatest big men in NBA history. He truly was a special player that really dominated the NBA during his career. Chamberlain holds the record for most point scored in a NBA game with a 100. He would lead the Lakers to the NBA Finals four times and would win one title. Chamberlain will always be remembered as one of the best players in NBA History.

Magic Johnson

Magic Johnson was one of best players who ever put on a Los Angeles Lakers Uniform. He made an impact in the NBA rather early than most people expected. In game 6 of the NBA Finals (Magic’s Rookie Year), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, one of the Lakers best players was out due to injury, so Magic had to fill in at the Center position. The 6 foot 9 guard made a statement as he recorded 42 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and would lead the Lakers to an NBA championship. During his career he would win 5 NBA titles with the Lakers and would be elected to 12 NBA All-Star games.

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant will go down as one of the best players the NBA has ever seen. The future Hall-Famer will retire at the end of the season after 20 remarkable years with the franchise. Kobe is fan favorite to not just Laker fans but to fans around the NBA. Many of the NBA players look up to Kobe and have paid tribute to him during his final season. He has won 5 NBA championships and was elected to 18 All-Star games during his impressive career. In 2006, he recorded the 2nd most points scored in game with 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. It was a pleasure to watch him play.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar spent 14 seasons with the Lakers, and let me tell you they were special. He was known for his special “skyhook” shot that was almost impossible to defend. During his career he won 5 NBA titles with Lakers and was elected to 19 All-Star games. Kareem is still the NBA all-time leader in points scored with 38,387. Not too bad, right ? He enjoyed a successful career and was elected in the NBA Hall of Fame in 1994.
